I'm here Steve, just hiding (code for fell asleep on the couch LOL). Not feeling the best at the mo, for some reason had a lot of back pain yesterday after my GP visit. I think my toes didn't like being jabbed so complained to my back which promptly called strike action.
Mr Fido is also a bit grumpy with post-surgery pain. Even one of the dogs is sick so it's not a happy household.
I don't think theirs anything worse than back pain I feel for ya Fido.
On the days when it kicks in I just want to crawl away and die, other days I'm fine. I'm more worried about the persistent numbness in the middle toe on both feet though, that's a fairly recent manifestation. The MRI showed a disc bulge that supposedly isn't significant enough to be causing nerve root entrapment so why are my toes still numb I wonder?
Look after yourself fido, back pain is something that no one can understand until they have it. My issues to date have been muscular but I understand what you are going through. Somedays are good days and others are a bitch. Rest up and recover. Then bash the trails like a looney!

Guys, as a kid and into my teen years we used to visit a place called Possum Park in my home town of Miles, all this Possum talk of late rekindled some memories. Reason for the post, it would be an awesome place for the KLC AGM GTG 2014, happy to act as the KLC Events Coordinator if you would accept a VX driver in the ranks, lol.
Great place used in WW2, we used to find so much stuff out there.
Cheers Dan

I showed my wife the website last night and she looked at me as though I was nuts, it is about a 20 minute drive from our farm and we used to do it on bikes or quads. The ammo we used to find was amazing, still charged as well. I say they had gotten rid of most of it now.
Not much driving there but heaps of driving around our family farms etc.
I need to check out more info on Beautiful Betsy for next time I am up your way, have to spend a week here and there in Gladstone at our branch, we do a heap for PacAl / BSL etc.

Thanks Dan, looks like a great location. It's a sad state of affairs when the only place Dan could share this location is in this thread. If it was posted under trip reports and planning, it would be deleted, just ridiculous!

Cania Gorge is a great place to camp if you want to spend some time up there. We've spent a couple of christmas holidays up there and there are some good tracks up that way. An easy drive unless the weather turns... There are a couple of big caravan parks in there. We stayed here http://www.caniagorge.com.au/
Thanks mate I'm also buying gozlamis for the whole office at lunch time and asking for donations so that should raise another $400 ($200 out of my bloody pocket) it won't bring back my 8 year old niece that died from a brain tumor but every little helps!
I was standing there this morning selling pens and teddy bears and shaking my little tin thinking life is too short to be serious all the time, we need to smile more and have a little fun.
After all the childish silliness of the last couple of day I say leave them to it, if they want to pick up their bats and balls, if that's the worst thing they have I their lives I am very happy for them.
I watched my niece when she was 14 months old wake up from her brain opp and say daddy I can't see. I watched my little brothers face as he realized his daughter would be never see again, then 7 years of kemo and then radio.
I say carry on the fun and be as silly as you like.
Long live the possum!
An if they makes no sense this isn't the thread for you.
Great work Jasen. Very worthy cause, like many, our family is no stranger to it either. I also like your outlook.
I adopted a similar view in my 20's. My personal motto now is: "As long as the sun comes up and the shower's warm, today will be a good day. "

"What is the fear of possums called? There is no term for the fear of possums however musophobia, or fear of rodents, might be an appropriate term. Also didelphinophobia, or opposumism.
There is no technical term for possum fear, but some people are suggesting it be called didelphiphobia/didelphophobia Since the genus of the opossum is Didelphia."

Looks nice - I'm a sucker for the old WW2 stuff.
Don't worry about the VX - they let me in with my lowly GXLatte. But I did promise to raise my left side suspension to replicate the famous Kaka KDSS lean...
