Just another use for possums once they've passed on........instant pothole repairs. the little champs just keep on giving.

My wife has a possum fur scarf and I have a beanie and scarf made of possum wool which we bought in NZ, those Kiwis know how valuable a commodity possums are. Warm as, bro

Now Jasen I know that you didn't want to post this on PP because you were worried people would think less of you for going against your word but I reckon it improves the look of the smartbar. Not that I like it just that it is a better look. I really like that you have carried the theme through to the snorkel as well.



And yes I realise the maxtrax are there for other people to use because you don't get bogged, just momentarily lose momentum. It's ok. We understand. Just keep taking the medication.

Hey Steve we are soon going to have to think about naming the KLC committee and get started on the KLC GTG minimum requirements. There has been a lot of issues with the other GTG committees so we need to make sure we keep it simple. My first thought would be recovery points

What if we got some possums (fully shaved) and painted them YELLOW, wrapped their tail in a knot around the chassis, then stuck a bow shackle in their mouths. Fully awesome recovery points!!!
And they're rated too ( i'll write a number on their belly). Plus they have a built in safety device because before they fail and let go a little bit of poo will come out due to the strain giving us a warning of a impending failure.

Completely safe NO Dodgey welds and no crappy bolts to fail.......IT'S WIN WIN I TELLS YA!!!!!

So the list so far is

Black FREDS
Fully Shaved, yellow, rated (by me and me marker pen) possum recovery points.
Half shaved, green, possum snatch straps.
Braided 3 half shaved, green, possum possumneema.
half shaved, green, possums + cable ties for "snow chains".

Making these minimum requirements lists is a piece of piss.......

I have had a word with AJ's mate and he has confirmed that for every 10mm of possum bond, I think that's like finger bond, you get 2t rating with sufficient safety margin. So that means as long as you get 20-25mm of possum bond you are good to go.
I also asked AJ's mate if I could get some possums stamped up with the SWL, he looked at me as if I was retarded (good judge of character, I know right!) and he said no need possum bond is a standard method of measurement ad there's no need for it.
I'm just surprised with the wealth of knowledge on PP that we hear about all the time that we had to wait till recently for James to clue us all up.

AJ's mate is a good bloke and very professional & thorough with his testing. A while back I sent him a box of a dozen assorted styles of possum for various stress tests and I was very surprised with just how tough they are..........although the crush test was a bit messy, but it turned out it was a defective possum, and when a new possum was tested it actually broke his machine.
Jasen don't feel bad, he looked at you strangely because a possum doesn't actually have a SWL, they are to good for that, they are stamped "Indestructible" for the O/S market and stamped "Bloody Tuff" for Aussie sales.
Let me just say it has been my pleasure to tip you all off to the marvel that is the possum.

No need for dummies as me and Steve are doing the syc tests so I can't see it happening.

Also no need for members to bring any of this stuff if they dot have it because the commie will have enough to go round.

That's right, bulk possum orders have been made, along with razors and yellow and green paint. I believe Jasen has spoken to a tribe of black Freds and they will be in abundance as well.

Wow I disappear for 30 seconds and there have been some big changes, all for the better I might add.
