Sure James but I think I'll use the bullbar to redecorate those bins, or maybe Jasen can use his Smartbar. Fixing the bumper is going to be expensive, it got hit on the other side a while back (that one was some muppet in a car park) and it was $500 to fix it. I must have been distracted as I always reverse down my driveway and have never managed to whack the bin before.

Thanks Corine, I also have a big roll of bubble wrap I can give you to cover the Kaka in for any future ooops' you may have, you could then just cruise around like you are in a bumper car at the show without a worry in the world.

My mate used his LC ute to pull a stump out the other week. Anyway, last week he rings me as his car has stopped. Engine running but no drive. I towed him home with the Prado. Turns out he snapped the main-shaft in the box. It finally gave up after the stump pulling in reverse trick the week before.

Good to see he was having a go there Bushy, it must have been a good feeling with the Prado towing the LC too lol.
They must have been some serious stumps to snap the shaft in a cruiser.

Well there are some really unfriendly people on PP I have gone from over 2,000 rep points to about 300 in 24hours with some very nasty comments demanding that I leave PP.

This is causing me a lot of personal stress, can anyone tell me who I report this anonymous cyber bullying too?

By the amount of negative rep I have received I can only assume that this is a calculated and organised attack.

If there are any moderators that would be so kind as to investigate this unacceptable behaviour please contact me.

Don't worry mate I think it's been std procedure for anyone associated with this thread & KLC, I've had it too. So Piggy when you're looking at Jase' case it may pay (I know it's more work and a PITA) to look at what has been received by all KLC members, and you will i'm sure see a pattern and who the culprits are and deal with them accordingly. I don't really care about the points themselves but the comments and the organized bullying needs to be sorted out and the so called "high & mighty well behaved people" reprimanded in some way for their deliberate actions.

On a very brief look, I can only see 1(one) negative comment asking jasen to leave, and it is worded with no profanity or abuse. The neg rep is from a broad spectrum of members, not just one so I doubt highly this is a " calculated attack" at him, more members leaving rep. I still have literally only scraped the tip of it..
Positive rep is interesting in some of its comments. And from a much closer spectrum of users.

I'll be looking thru and questioning any bullying or abusive comments as time allows..

I also have aplenty that do a runner over my roof about 1am each morning - little buggers are wearing hob nail boots too :-/
Feel free to relieve me of any of them, although I suggest you get in before Bathurst weekend, as we tend to have a dip in the population around that time ;-)

The offending bin which I have threatened to smash into a million pieces & send off for recycling if it ever does this to the Kaka again :-


The quote for repair was $550 (incl GST) and I've been quoted $220 for a full exterior detail that includes buffing out the bush pin stripes, not sure if that's expensive for detailing though.

Corine that dent will buff right out lol. That bin does have a suspiciously guilty look about it, I think it may have jumped out and hit you on purpose!!
If it's a proper full cut & buff that's a fair price I would think, it is reasonably time consuming to do a good job.

I thought the crack right at the top of the ding might have made it a replace job but Mr Panel Beater says he can fix it. He did a good job the last time (that one wasn't my fault) and has done work on the previous Prado for us so I'm confidant in his advice. His office is a mess and he himself looks as rough as nails but his asian boys do a good job and I've always been happy. I've had work done at a big chain mob owned by one of the major insurers and the work was cr@p in comparison, won't go back there again.

I wasn't going to bother but the car could use a spruce up so may as well get both jobs done at the same time.
