Ahh yes known in legal circles as the "Esky Loophole" also more commonly known as the "Freshy Rule" it circumvents any and all seatbelt laws, as Krypto has pointed out xxxx does not apply to this loophole and if you openly admit to drinking xxxx in court the judge will immediately order the death penalty and promptly have you hung, shot, gassed and electrocuted by the close of business that day.Originally posted by Bushbasher View Post

OK, I'm only having a flash-back to my mis-spent youth in Brisvegas during the late 70s. I survived a roll-over on the Goldcoast with one hand on the roof and the other holding the lid closed on the foam esky. I thus saved the precious cold contents from damage and promptly revived the driver with a coldie. Note: I do not advocate drink driving or not wearing seatbelts. Things back then were different - we had perfected crash technique and nobody got hurt.Dave

Ahh the good old days, my 70's were the 90's but the mis-spent we have in common me thinks. Our esky equipped rollover was a low speed one but someone did get pulled back in from hanging out of the sunroof about 3 seconds before the car decided to be upside down, bloody lucky and no bevvies were harmed in that incident either. I too do not advocate DD or not wearing seatbelts. We were just lucky.Comment
