  • Quick fish at Hawley

Went for a morning stroll out to Larooma Point today. I was going to give Smithy a call to see if he was keen, but with his fishing luck lately I figured I'd have a better chance without him. Managed to pick-up a few salmon, only kept the one that swallowed the lure too far in.
Was a superb morning for a fish off the rocks - especially with a mid-day high tide. I was able to start at a "gentlman's " hour.
A number of fish following and I lost a good sized fish out at the point. I tried a few lures, but the little Rapala seemed to be the one they were liking. Tried the squid jig, but no luck.

    Are you bragging Craig?

Sounds like Smithy and I have the same sort of fishing skills- none!

Not bragging - I was just happy to get onto some salmon myself.
