              I have a waeco CF50.
No problem with refrigeration - it's excellent....
but I'm really put off by the rattly spring mounted compressor on rough roads.
              Drives me to distraction.
Waeco tells me this is "normal".
I'm considering flogging it off on Ebay and getting an Engel or something else that doesnt rattle.

I have heard Engel owners say the same thing so you might not get any satisfaction doing that either.

Just heard from my folks who told me that the Downunder fridge turned up today, on a Sunday. It is a 51 litre fridge/freezer and my father reckons it is in a big box and too heavey for him to manage  bringing it upstairs so it is siting in the garage.

Mine is too when the road is smooth.
Hit a bump, pothole etc - rattle rattle rattle.
Maybe a new compressor / housing then - will take it to service dept after hol's.

Well, fired up the new Waeco on Christmas Eve and stocked it with a few special drinks for today. Gees its quiet. Had to check a few times to make sure it was actually running. Pretty interested to watch the electronic temperate display drop down as it cools everyting inside.

When I checked the contents this morning, I am happy to report that all the drinks were ice cold. Just about time to put the contents to the taste test... of course, I will have to test each bottle to make sure that there isn't any warm spots. Cheers!
