Thanks. We are looking forward to a bit more of the story getting out. Last month the government shut down another one of the few doctors that will treat us. This time it was a doctor in Perth.

Mate I watched that last night and was telling my wife your story.
Whilst I wish ill health on nobody, it would be interesting to see if one of the directors of the medical board contracted it. (maybe they would just quietly retire to USA for treatment and say nothing...)
A philanthopist here in SA purchased a very expensive piece of equipment for a particular ailment some time back - the goverment wouldn't supply it and he didnt want to travel to VIC for treatment. Yes a big benefit for the rest of SA, but would never have happened if he didnt need the machine.Cheers
Micheal.

yep i had this one a while back too but luckily knew what to do. You see earlier my mum managed to get the full blown version from walking in Richmond Park (UK). Now the local hospital (Kingston Upon Thames) are all over this as its very common so they knew how to treat it etc and she has been lucky with minimal symptoms but recently on a trip back i got a tick bite. My mum told me to keep and eye on it and if it develops a red halo get some antibiotics quick sharp.
Well a couple of weeks later when back in aus there it was, an itchy red ring around the bite area so i rocked into my GPs office and told them what it was and what i needed..The doctor started to refute it and i seem to recall saying something along the lines of 'just give me the damn pills' ha ha. Anyway i also explained that i had been bitten OS which cleared it up for her. Anyway took the antibiotics and was fine. I guess with doctors these days you should always get a second opinion and Dr Google is always a great resource too.2013 (12 build) GX Auto.......with safari snorkel, toyota bar, tow bar, roof racks, led spots with fancy newpro switchgear, uniden remote UHF and aerial, ARB bash plates, Roadsafe recovery points, digoptions radio, general grabber AT2s, cheap ebay roof rack that has stood up surprisingly well.....

My reaction to this stupid situation would be to firstly create a change.org petition to help push for effective treatment. If that does not bear fruit, get yourself to a country with knowledge and facilities for treatment. I'd suggest the UK where Lyme is understood, but almost anywhere in the EU would suffice, especially if you have relatives there.2008 D4D M6 GXL [MT ATZ-P3][Whitey's Ironman 45710FE/45682FE+KTFR101H/Dob487][extended Roadsafe links][Polyairs][DBA T3/T2][amts diffdrop & recovery points][Tin175's stone guards][Bushskins BashPlate][ARB Sahara][IPF 900s][Snorkel][WindCheetah][MaxTrax][IC-440][Parrot Asteroid][ARB Fridge][Lifestyle 2nd Row Fridge Mount][ARB Compressor][Thumper][SandGrabbers][Cargo Barrier][Tigerz Awning][MCC Rear Bar]
