    The wait for our new Prado has, at least, allowed us to store away some extra funds for the initial set-up. So far we are looking at an extra 8K over purchase price for all the extras we want.

    This was another reason why we went for the GXL over the VX or even the LC200. While we could have perhaps gone for the others, it would have been less (no) money left over to mod-up.

          I'm happy to reveal that I have still spent less on ours than if we had bought a bog standard Grande.

            After now finally having done the suspension I can tell you I have spent.......... alot.. Well, not really sure, but its all been worth it especially with Lacey saying "ugggh just do it then!" what a gal!

              Classic... looks like you need to keep your sign-on secure.

              But I'm with photoprado. We bought the GXL to allow us to specifically add all the extras we wanted... and still saved money over the Grande.

                we are almost tipping over the 8 grand mark in just under 12 months but has given us enjoyment and seen places you just can't put a price on.

                  Umm does this total include fixing of panel damage (by my own means or others hitting my car) ???

                  without fixing things that have happened to it Probably around the 10k to 12k mark maybe a bit more when I add all the stuff up on it
                  with damage repair around 18k???

                      Love the drop tow bar hitch.. he he.

                      I rekon we are up to 10K easy.
                      Bar, lift, tyres, snork, timer, uhf, lights, seat covers, rack, fridges and GPS to find my way back when the missus tells me to get lost...

                        I feel sick...just finished adding it together, think I might go lay down about now.

                        I cant even see anything and its gone past $4k already....what is she going to say when I suggest....

                          Haha you look at it and think, oh yeah few bits and pieces on there..its not till you sit down and write a list with prices that you go weeelllll mayby i have gone a bit overboard! but then you have a beer and amazingly something else appears to attach itself to the car :roll:
