This photo was taken in the Upper Rose river area of NE Vic. Fairly tame but the car was only 3 day old at this point.

Will be hard work to match the photos above but I guess someone has to do it.

                        Now, where to this weekend.....

How long did your petrol last without an alternator?...we had 3 other cars all have alternator failure on the same streach of mud. 2 petrol prados made it about 8kms. The petrol 100 series made it home about 70km...

My diesel made it almost home about 140km...it was still running, but not changing out of first gear being an automatic...the gearbox didn't know what the engine was doing!

Fun yes....eventually....after I phoned the wife to pick me up & explain how her shopping trolley needed a little TLC...I'm just now able to talk about it without going into a cold sweat!

Haha, i had been at bribie all day and had given it quite a dip on some of the inland tracks, then on the way home decided to visit the local mud pits (my car by itself only mite i add, bad idea wont do that again ops: ) through a couple then stuck in one for about 30 mins before the mate arrived to pull me out. After that the battery lights etc were on within 15mins, about 10kms. To the mechanic the next day  To me the alternator is poorly designed with all the electrics built in and not real high in the engine bay.

                                Cheers,
