Since changing from a sedan to 4wd, I can say you encounter a lot less people pulling out in front of you!
Might have to pick up a dashcam I think though - its getting pretty crazy out there...

Nah don't get one. Cars with dashcams are always crashing. There's heaps of videos of them on youtube.

That was ridiculous. Not one but two idiots who just couldn't wait 10 secs.

Sorry mickmac , I don't see a problem lol as there doesn't seem to be any lanes marked on the section of the roundabout you and the red van travel through so by the zip merge rules he has right of way. I notice there are lanes marked on the section to your right as you enter and exit the roundabout so one wonders why your area of travel doesn't have lane marking.

We have a couple of doozy roundabouts where I live i.e. single lane roads into multilane roundabouts and vica versa, as well as pea size roundabouts that have to be negotiated by roadtrains and just to make it interesting a pedestrian operated set of traffic lights half way between two roundabouts no more than three hundred metres apart.

We have a roundabout where you need to get into the right lane to turn left

                            Cheers Andrew

Between my house and the highway I have 19 roundabouts in 14km. Always a fun drive with lane markings.

This would be why there's so many problems with roundabouts, though you're from SA, so i wouldn't expect you to know Qld road rules. The lanes don't necessarily have to be marked. The rules refer to both lanes and lines of traffic. In this instance, there were two lanes leading into a roundabout with room for two lines of traffic. The rules state that a driver changing lanes or lines in a roundabout must indicate and give way to vehicles in others lanes or lines of traffic. Exceptions are given for vehicles that are too large to remain in their lane/line.
