Unlike their father, my two sons managed to get off their Ps without prang or traffic infringement. One has a 6cyl Falcon ute and the other a V6 Camry. Both cars are capable of decent speed and acceleration. Me, on the other hand had a succession of Cortinas: 72 2 litre with quad webers, 73 250 6cyl (with big Holley and tricked auto) and 76 with 289 V8, followed by a pile of V8 Falcons during my informative years. I had more than my share of prangs and huge stacks. Qld Police took my licence off me for 30 days for racing an unmarked cop car along the freeway. The car may have a bit to do with the driving ability of many, but attitude is the real killer.

I get that a lot. Mostly highway/ freeway some town. it docent get that many km in town
I usually put about 170L in after 1600km. Keep in mind the car gets a "Subaru Sea foam" treatment every 10 000-15 000km. new fuel filter every 20. and Most of all I run it on 98 Octane Premium unleaded.
My partner is an EX Honda mechanic(now an assistant manager of a beaurepairs), The car gets treated like a king in the garage. Although when he drives it he also expects it to hit V-TEC

I hear you Andrew, just did our rental which gave my wife motivation for me to paint ours - but it was not trashed like your recent troubles. Should not complain too much, $800 for a job that was quoted at $6000. Looks like admin are trying to annoy us in to submission so that we become paying members. When I use my iPad I am now getting an advertising ticker down the bottom of the page that moves up ang gets in the way each time you scroll.
