Hey ####, keep in mind there are those of us who only access the site from mobile devices and never even knew the rep system existed (you don't see it in tapatalk or the mobile site). I was shocked the other day when I used a real pc and found out someone had given me rep points. I'll have to make an effort to find a real pc when I find something really useful from now on.

Rep points don't really seem to mean much anymore anyway so I wouldn't get too worried about it. Can mods see who people receive reps from and what for?

Admin reply: yes. we can.. We can also see who is "buttering" others points.. (You all know who you are boys..) Mind you there is a little counter we can also see that tells us the "true" count.. without the buttering..

I work above a Centerlink office - believe me, this stuff is multi-generation (well at least where I am).

I guess, has anyone caught the slight-of-hand that the government has done? To make themselves look better there are fewer people on the dole - they are now on pensions!

Yes, the country is screwed.
One way to pay less tax is earn less $$$$$$$? Take More holidays? Take a part time job. Start a business, be a bad businessman? Losses?
Surely if the bludgers can live on $200 a week or so the majority can too? Join them?
Perhaps it's time to start thinking about all the other stupid stuff these governments waste our money on?

Paying bludgers is likely a small portion of your taxes.
Looking @ this country's debt, thanks labour, the taxes are not enough?
But services are poor also in many areas so more money needs to be properly spent?
Not on power saving devices, insulation or solar for 3 examples.
Yes the banks re ripping us off BIG TIME, once again, can only beat that by reducing, debt, sell it, pay it off.
So as usual nothing we can do about it.
If there's a better country to live in, pay less interest or taxes, I can suggest go & live there if that's better?

Hmmm.... interesting. A lot can happen in two days.
Well, I want everyone to know that I put up the picture on my profile to educate people. There are a lot of mammals in this country that are in trouble because of destruction of habitat. As there is a funny side to things, there is also a serious side.



Just wanted to put something technical up to remind everyone what is important. Laughter is as well.

That photo, as my avatar at the moment, is not of a possum, but a Yellow-bellied Glider (Petaurus australis). They are in trouble because of the reason given above.
I always like having a laugh as much as the next bloke, but loosing MLC, my mate, is not a good thing. He has given us years of laughter, so I hope you reconsider your position, me old mate.
With forums, you just have to read what you want to read, and forget the rest. I don't have time to read or comment on everything that goes on here.
As the old members know, I usually stick to the tech side of things.
As with life itself, there are going to be conflicts and there is going to be people you don't like. You either, switch off from these people, or you can try and understand them. At the end of the day, with forums, sometimes you need a thick skin.
I hope the situation settles down and everyone just get's on with it.

I disagree, this forum has not gone to shit, it's just the way you see it.
It's made up of hundreds of different people posting, naturally there are disagreements, that's ok.
Drew, heaps of people loved that pull me out thread, it was very informative & entertaining also.
It's easy, if you don't like a thread just don't read it, that possum thread, I've never opened it along with many others.
It's probably a load of crap, but good luck to those that are enjoying it, no skin of my nose.

I run trips often here n Vic, I was a large part of helping to get this gtg going & I needed to know, who is prepared to be decent about vehicle recovery on my trips. Simple as that. Now many people enjoyed it, so that's the bonus.
