Our local RSL conducted a remembrance day ceremony at Bedford Park - our memorial park here in Broome. I polished my boots, donned my medals and attended along with about 50 other vets and numerous members of the public. Following the service we all went to the RSL club for a soft drink - honestly, I drank a soft drink - no bundy as I was still required to go back to work. Anyway, some low-life stole the National Flag from the flag pole opposite the war memorial before the RSL could retrieve it.

We have politicians on ridiculous pension schemes too. Everyone else has to fight just to get a rise commensurate with the CPI but these people get rises of10% or more. Free travel included for life.

All politians should have their increases directly linked to the nations performance. If we go backward, so do their increases, if the standard of living increases by 2%, so do their pays.

AND
If an employee lies, commits fraud, etc, they are terminated without entitlements and sued, this MUST apply to each and every politician, enough of this double standard shit. Seriously over it.

Superannuation for politicians must work EXACTLY the same as everyone elses, FFS!!!!!!!

Rant not over and I reserve the right to type these again on a very small bit of paper, then wrap them around a bullet for quick delivery.

They're great fun when you're twentysomething, single and have lots of disposable income. But not so much now.

Planning on TAWK'ing (Travelling Australia With Kids) sometime in the next 2/3 years and keeping and eye out for an alternative.

I have to disagree, I lived in Adelaide for just under 2 years in my early 20's, I hated every day from the day after I moved my stuff there and the house got broken into and I lost most everything I had to the day I left, after 2 more house break ins, vandalised cars, vandalised Motorbike, stolen bike and a stolen car.

Mind you living on the outskirts of a small country town is getting a bit busy for me nowadays, might look at moving somewhere a bit quieter in the next few years Maybe take your idea and just hit the road and live in the bush, but without the kids

Cyclists. F'n Lycra wearing cyclists. Two meters away from killing one this morning. I had a green and was powering on up to the lights and he flew across right in front of me on a red signal, on the crosswalk bit.
Lucky I had had another coffee and was far more alert than an hour before or he would be dead.
