im at a different opinion hutch, i just got new gen IQ with the new channels and i reckon its great, like the 2 discovery max channels dedicated to cars and stuff, im a bit of a gear head, and i also dig BBC knowledge for the top gear repeats, record it every night to watch reruns, i havnt seen them all so ist all good. Also like music max and Vh1, like being 18 again. all those songs bring back lots og good memories. cheers samo

what ticks me off is people who get on internet forums and talk about what ticks them off! :? Oh crap now im ticked off with myself. :lol: nah only joking. what really ticks me off is my girlfriend who lives in the little box stuck to my windscreen and tells me where to go all the time. i swear she must be blonde sometimes with some of the directions she gives.

The son-in law picked me up today to go to an address 5km away. :roll:

your not getting old nickchap you are just getting smarter, im with you, bugger the technology! can i have a lend of that screwdriver when your finished. text messaging is another one, you can pick up the phone and actually talk to the other person but instead people use a system that is so bad that they had to invent a whole new language just to make it usable :? go figure! that is why i never learnt how to send a text.

Well yep got up on Tuesday morning to check e-mails :shock: internet not working , pick up the home phone :shock: not going either try my mobile :? yep that not going either was not suprised the wife's was not working . So I called telstra ( yep that is the only number I could call ) found out hey stuffed up and disconnected us by mistake . A couple of hours later whilst at work I checked the mobile yep it is working . Go home that night and land line not going called telstra " we appoligise it was overlooked will be connected as well as the internet by 10.00am tomorrow " . Yesterday at 10.00am I called home from work phone connected , so I send a test e-mail from work it did not bounce back get home at 4.00pm check e-mail :shock: na not working call telstra at 4.05pm on hold and transferd to different departments until 6.30pm . End result is if we want to reconnect to BIGPOND we have to sign another contract for at least 12 months and as the e-mail address is in quaranteen they may not be able to retreive them this will also take up to 5 working days :evil: :evil: . I would change providers at a shot with this lack of service I received problem is the wifes business cards has her e-mail address and alot of her business is done via e-mails .

I would change providers at a shot with this lack of service I received problem is the wifes business cards has her e-mail address and alot of her business is done via e-mails .

You can generally pay a small yearly fee to some internet providers to keep you email address only, allowing you to change providers. Not sure if bigpond do this though. I think mine was $27.95 for the year through Netspace.

Bigpond charge me $1 a month to keep my wife's email address. Just thought you may like to know! Telstra also tick me off, that is why I now have the mobiles with optus and the home phone is VOIP - a great system.

i changed to a hotmail account, free and don't have to keep changing my address every time i change my internet provider.

Currently... FOXTEL ticks me off!!
I pay enough each month and now I can hardly see the TV shows through all the crappy advertising for the winter games on the screen :evil: :evil:
