Restaurants that take your credit card number over the phone in case you don't turn up for the booking but don't accept credit/debit cards because they haven't got an EFTPOS machine. WTF?Dave

Yes they do that Dave as they can put it through manually. Personally I don't/won't give my credit card number over the ph cause I really don't know who I'm talking to. These days you just don't know what they may do with your details. It's amazing how many businesses still don't use eftpos. I know it costs them money to have one but that reflects in the pricing. It's more so the tax man doesn't know how much $$$ they did or didn't take.... Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

Well recently it was time to pay rates on all our properties, which always ticks me off, but such is life. After paying the correct amount as marked on each of the notices I have now received a notice for each property, all posted in a separate envelope saying I owe between 55 and 65 cents for each property WTF???
The stamp for each envelope cost 60 cents without anything else, and they wonder why we get upset about massive rate hikes each year!

Daub them with liquid soap and they will disengage pretty quickly without you having to tug on them with tweezers or anything.
