Actually with the sunglasses thing, I always try to have some sort of eye protection on when fishing. You get a couple of people in an 18ft boat and suddenly theres hooks, baits, lures, and hopefully fish going all over the place! It just struck me once as a bad place for unprotected eye's so I've worn sunny's fishing ever since.

Polaroids are good for screening out some surface reflection too. I always used to "pfffffft" that benefit until I actually got some and began to see submerged reefs in weed when others couldn't. They're not a silver bullet but they do help!!

I use amber photchomatic polarised glasses up the creeks which are really good in lower light situations. They are a must have.
I also wear long clothes, gloves boots and big hat to hide from the sun and sandflies. The only bit exposed is my face, and tips of fingers.

              Nice kahawai!!

              Are they from Auckland area?

That's one of the fish I work on - there's four species in the family.

and gazandcj - those kingies would have given you a great run.

These however came from Awhitu Central. If you need any info that a keen avid fisherman can provide you all the way from New Zealand - let me know. Next time I go fishing I can tell my wife its all in the name of research...

ok ok - guess I'll just have to get out there and try harder. Maybe one of the many new excuses to the wife... Honey, the guys on PP think I'm a w@anker, because I don't have any big fish fotos... This is why I have to go and try for bigger fish----
