  • Gadget Review, Led Lenser torch

First off I think we need a gadget section

I was given a Led Lenser torch as a gift yesterday and I'm that impressed with it I thought I post...

    P7 Review

    Led Lenser

Awesome torch that puts my Maglites to shame... Led torches have come a long way in the last few years

I absolutely love my lenser Small, compact with the light of a Maglite, actually brighter.

That said I just purchased 2 upgrade LED bulbs for my 4 D cell Maglites, they work fantastic :!: They note that light can dim after 15 minutes continuous run time because of overheating but you can leave on without damaging the LED. $15 for 2 LEDS from the USA....not a bad upgrade. You must purchase by the number of cells you have.

The lenser is great to carry, small and compact and extremely bright.

The Maglites....quite threatening as a weapon  Extremely bright white light w/upgrade to LED, can only imagine the run time on 4 D cells 8)

I got mine from fleabay....the guy had as 2 sets...just looked and don't see the 4 cell anymore, worth asking the guy though as he had several sets the other day.

        http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :IT&ih=002

Interesting he has updated his shipping rates after my order...mine was only $4.80 shipping, $11 for two bulbs

He has some 3 cell which I need one for my wifes car

I shouted myself a LedLenser Tactical Focus ZL7438 ($99) last week and it is awesome, runs of 3 AAA with 70 lumens and has a burn time of 100 hours. This torch puts any maglite I have seen to shame.

That P7 puts mine to shame with its 167 lumen output and I wish they had had one there when I bought mine.

Matt there is a guy set up in town square shopping centre (outside IGA) in Singleton who sells all of these Led Lensers and LED upgrades for Maglites, might be worth calling in, he is called Jipak - Sharp Edges Bright Ideas 6571 2669
06 GXL D4D, 6spd, Snorkel, ARB bar, XS900 50w HID lights, 55W HID Headlight upgrades, T/bar, 7" GPS, QStarz data logger, 52L Bushman Fridge, Premier winch, Sandgrabbas, GME TX3440, AE4705 antenna, Scangauge II, Dual Batteries, Aero bars & rack, Drawers, 2" Ironman/Rancho/King lift, Under bonnet compressor, Black ducks, Voltage booster, Rear table, AVE TPMS,

$15 for 2 LEDS from the USA....not a bad upgrade.
That's a great price for a Maglite LED conversion... I see at Rays Outdoors it's around $60 for one.

How do you guys rate the light output of the Maglite LEDs? Might change mine over.
