I know it's a genuine imitation of the the real LED Lenser but it works for me. It looks fully authentic and all but seriously can't be genuine.
Apparently there is some way to tell right? If it aint genuine I will be causing a major raucous and cancelling my payout through paypal....

I've ordered an H14 locally but there is no current stock so when it arrives I will do a comparison of this against the H7 and maybe the P7 and P14. In response to seeing someone's face at 20m both the P7 and P14 would be painful for the recipient on narrow beam full power at that distance.

The seller that I bought mine from and I believe Rob (MidLifeCrisis) has purchased from is called TheLedTorch

Currently has two lots of the P14 going, one for $99.99 +Postage $16.99 and the other for $66.42 + postage $30.21

Check back in about a week and you might find his prices down or look around for a different seller:
                  http://shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?_nkw=....c0.m270.l1313
There is one in the above link for $54.54 + postage $32.36 (must be posted in a golden envelop)

where you got yours from is actually the same guy i was watching one at and for same price as yours plus 16.99 postage until it magically changed price to $99 overnight. the federal budget must have caused sudden inflation. i will wait and keep an eye out for one now i know what price you guys paid. cheapest price at the recent van/camping show [at rosehill nsw] was $135 "on sale" - thanks

                      yep, thats the guy

I have noticed that soe sellers have the same thing on sale at various prices. This guy puts them on for a period of time so I guess he is testing the best price he can get. If your not in a hurry I suggest you wait a week or so in case it drops back.

                        • The H14 and H14R are about to be released which moves from H7's 170 lumen to 210 lumen. Supposed to be available in late May 2011

                          • Andrew if you are not in a hurry wait until I get my H14 and do a comparison with the H7. If the difference is the same as that between the P7 and P14 it will be worth getting the larger head torch. Depends on weight and ease of use etc too. I use the H7 for mountain bike riding and while the H7 is great and light weight it leaves a bit to be desired if you are barrelling downhill at 20+kph so hopefully the H14 will be better. I know there are more powerful light combinations available for mountain biking but I don't ride enough at night to justify the $350+ price tags. An H7 and H14 together might be interesting...

By the way you guys should try local retailers and see if they will match eBay pricing, I know a couple of places in Brisbane that do and you know you are getting the real deal.

                            • for those discussing the sudden price increase by a certain supplier, here is the official reason from when i asked why: "i am sorry, i increase the price is the agency request, thank you!" hmmm
