      Hi John,

Does your vehicle have a heating system to keep the engine warm in the night so that the engine can start easily first thing in the morning?

I know some vehicles need to be plugged in to a power source to keep the block warm enough for easier starting.

      Thanks,

      Lawrance

It started very well at -15 celsius 3 years ago
Normally here in belgium in winter seldom lower than -5 celsius
i have no extra system to keep engine warm at night
there is one switch operated system standard from toyota to raise idle rpm and to heat the engine cooling liquid by friction in a special device in front of the engine
My engine has standard two batteries parellel working so 12volts

          Thanks for that John.

Today I heard a D4D accelerating away with the rattle. Oooh, it didn't sound too good. Now I know why some folks are a little concerned.

The lady driving it didn't seem to be too concerned. She just drove off, as if in a hurry.

              D4D

These motors have been around since 1999 in Japan etc, no problems there.
