    It will only work if an admin ticks the box to yes in admin control to "Allow members to email each from the forum" or something like this, as I was looking at mine last night. It should have an option then when you click on a member and you will have an email button near the pm button.

      Does anyone have this ability? A random check of a few users and admin persons indicates that none have the email feature available, as was previously available on this forum.

        Emails are turned on, I have just reset everything, someone want to have a look now? Email addresses should still be hidden but you should be able to email via the board.

        I cant test it as I have ADMIN powers and can see everything even when its turned off.

                        Question for the forum guru's...

                        When PP sends a notification email and you click on the included link it takes you to the first 'un-read 'post in that thread. (which is exactly how it should be )
                        My question is... is that a simple thing to do as a couple of other 4x4 forums just take you to the top of that thread's 'last viewed page' and then you need to find you place in the posts.

                        Is it something I can change or is it the format that the email link is generated in.

                            As Nick said at the start of the original thread, I also think that this is appropriate!
                            I did alter it slightly Nick, so as to better suit the current updates and changes, hope you don't mind me 'para-phrasing'...

                            I'm sure we will adjust to the site upgrade fairly quickly once it arrives...

                              I've been away camping and now slowly working my way through the posts from end November. Honestly what is the big deal here? There are lots and lots of forums (fora?) that don't let you view pictures or just let you read the first page of a post and generally wont allow access unless you are a member. In one case I joined one forum so that I could check out some of the mods information and it was worthwhile. Without having to join I would have lurked in the background. Another forum requires trading access before you can sell, annoying but a great idea it stops the members who join just to use the forum as ebay and makes sure everyone knows the rules.

                              Mods go for it. If you think it needs fixing then fix it. More power to you.

                                This is starting to tick me off but I need to continually re-log on following changes to the site in the last month. This happens over multiple PCs (running XP SP3 or Win 7 64) with IE (versions 7 & 8). Cookies are enabled and remember me is ticked but it forgets. This didn't used to happen on any of them.

                                When you have typed up a post and then need to relog on during submission you loose your post. This has happend numerous times now.

                                Also seen many duplicate posts recently as well. I had one and deleted the second which saw both removed.
