Crescent head pie shop has great pies and cakes. You have to get there before 12 on weekends as they sometimes sell out of some of the more popular cakes. Best vanilla slice ive ever had.

      Hey Fozski,
As someone who has surfed Crescent since the mid 70's and camps there twice a year.....I would have to agree.....although not as good as I remember them from a couple of decades ago.....or maybe thats just my age playing tricks on me.,

........and a beer (or few) at the country club always tastes better after a day off the point.

Went out with a few mates the other night and we each ordered a charred grade 9 sirloin of Wagyu beef with white onion and rosemary purée, sautéed broccolini, sweet bread beignet and balsamic jus. It was fantastic.

The Globe Hotel in Rylstone is fantastic. Great atmosphere inside and out. There are tables outside and a large grassed area for the kids to burn off some energy and work up an appetite . As with any good country pub, you never leave hungry! Check out their website http://www.theglobehotel.com.au

Rylstone is a small country town "on the way" to Mudgee. You just need to turn right and take the detour, but it is well worth it
