all isp's use either telstra or optus backhawl. unless you are lucky enough to be in an area where they may have their own DSLAM (the bit of hardware your modem talks to get the data)Originally posted by Signature035This is interesting.

its usually telstra, but when there is a "naked" plan option (no voice service on hte line.. only data).. it is with optus...
i have a backhaul issue (backhaul is the data pipe that links your telephone exchange to the main internet hub in your capital city).. im with internode, but its a naked service, and as such.. the issue is an optus backhaul issue.. the pipe between the rockhampton exchange and the brisbane point of presence (POP) for internode gets overloaded... and as such, my connection and download speeds deteriorate.2004 GXL V6 5 speed auto. Cooper STTs, 40mm Lift, Scanguage II, Flyer batterybox, GME3400 UHF, Engel 40L, Safari Snorkel, IPF Xeon Headlight upgrade, Milford Cargo Barrier.

Its a bit better today, yesterday it was almost unusable, 1-2 minutes just to get to the board index. Been slow for a while now. I am also a member of the new hilux forum which is also phpBB and that is super fast!
Sent a PM to piggy yesteday (which took nearly 20 minutes) to ask if he knew anything, he hasn't checked his PM's yet!

Tried to access the board earlier today and got a SQL error, perhaps an admin needs to check to see if the database server has some capacity issues.
