  • Prado Stolen

    Hi All,

It is with great dissapointment that I start this thread. I took the following photo of the remains of our Prado this afternoon. It was dumped in bushland near Mittagong last week.

To the peole that took it out of our garage at Nelson Bay, if you happen to read this thread, I hope you are proud of the unnecessary destruction that you have inflicted on somebody elses property, not to mention the pain, distress, inconveniance and finicial stress that you have created for our family. You truely are the lowest form of life that I have ever encounted.

Rat bags all of them...the only problem is they mostly like do not own a computer and never will. I feel for ya'll and I hope you find out who did it and maybe a little bush justice would be in order. This in one of those things that can really tick you off. I cannot imagine what you are going through but I bet I can speak for anyone that reads this that our prayers go out to you and all the best in the end. Take care.

          Re: Prado Stolen

I reckon most folk on here would recognise that even though insurance may cover the financial side of things, its the time and effort that we all spend turning our rigs into what they are today which cannot be replaced.

Sympathy goes out to you Lindsay - hopefully it is not too long before you and your family can rebuild and be out travelling again!

                Re: Prado Stolen

Thanks to everyone who has responded so quickly with kind words of support. I would like to go into the details of what happened but at this stage it is still the subject of a police investigation (yes they do have suspects), and also an isurance investigation, so it is probably not wise to put all the details out there on the web at this stage.

I will provide more info once it has been sorted, so that others don't suffer the same problems. In the meantime please take great care your vehicles.

                Thanks

Sorry for your loss. It would be heartbreaking, I'm sure.

Do you know how they managed to steal the car? Hopefully you haven't lost any sentimental or irreplaceable items that insurance can't cover? I hope your insurance will quickly fix your loss by supplying you with a new (maybe 150 series?) Prado.

I'd be gutted, I know words are not enough to replace your rig, but I really hope that insurance covers the loss.
