Hey Nick, What is Barbie doing in that F-20 Red Devil? Had a mate who had a collection of radio controlled planes and was in a club down Norlunga way somewhere. He was almost in tears one Monday morning as he had crashed two of his planes the previous day. I think what he had cost him something like $4000-5000 each.

I was in the club at the top of the hill (Brighton Rd) The F-20 was scratch built and If it hit the dirt I would pull out the razor blade. Its one quick plane with retracts and flaperons.

Used to go past that club as a kid and watch the guys fly the planes!!! Beg dad to get me one... Never happened though...

Christmas came early for me last weekend at the Perth 4WD and Camping show - new winch and underbody protection plate.

Or maybe I'll call it my wedding anniversary present and still get something else for chrissy!

Brown Davies for the 120.

The only problem is it doesn't have access to the sump plug without removing the 7 retaining bolts. It is quite sturdy though, and the mesh ventilation at the front is heaps stronger than the standard stuff.

Think I will cut a small hole in it for the sump plug access.

They started at $390 (BD dealer working out of ORE tent), then reduced it to $370. I stalled for a bit, then went to another stand (Armadale 4WD) where they had them for $350. Took this price back to the dude at the BD dealer and got it for $320. He didn't want to take any back home with him so wanted to sell them all before the end of the show.

The TJM one is great when it comes to oil changes but if you have a magnetic chip plug and don't grab it on removal, well it makes a big mess.

I talked the wife into letting me order a set of 'wet seat' neoprene seat covers for the prado. black with red stitching

and I might be getting a cheap rhino rack alloy roof rack too. I wasn't going to get it but told the boss they're on ebay new for $600-700 and the one my mates selling is $350. she said "it's worth it because you save 3-400 dollars" OK THEN, WHO AM I TO ARGUE?? :twisted: :lol: :twisted:

I think I paid spot on $500 for the 1800x1010 rhino rack but if I could do it again I would have probably gone for an ARB tradesman rack in alloy if avilable.
