Yep, Prado is fueled and loaded, CT is hooked up and we are meeting a few of the other GTG committee members tomorrow for a 4 day "recce" of the ocean leg of the GTG, also checking out some of the transit route. Went to the pool at Kings Beach with the family for the morning and then headed up the coast and spent the afternoon at the beach at Noosa, now headed back for a BBQ, great day had by allJustin

Just got home from the test match at the Adelaide oval. Had a great day. Plenty happening on field and off. Australian patriotism in abundance - great to see!! Going back tomorrow with the lad. Cmon Aussies!

We spent the day snowboarding in in a small resort in Yuzawa, Japan in 30+ cm of fresh snow, no crowds and it snowed heavily all day. We didnt see any others westerners today but did get to see the most amazing Japanese beer glass ever, will post a photo when we get home.
Anyway, having a beer now, checked the cricket score, the hottest 100 and the snow is still chucking down. Looking like another great powder day tomorrow.
Hope you enjoyed what ever Australia Day gave you.

A wheel that was made in the 40's driven by waterOriginally posted by ntp View Post, it is at Lowden Forest Park and was used to drive a generator to run a sawmill, wheel still fully functional. Well we went there and then went to Bendethera (well got to trig point on Mt Dampier) but rain forced a retreat, so went on to Tuross cascades and finally to Cooma and returnn to Canberra. A good day spent in the state forests

Cleaned up the backyard. Mainly trimming trees off the fence line in prep for new fence next week. Did get to try out the new chainsaw though.[B]Ian[/B]

Went and organised my car... Went to the cricket... Smuggled in some bourbon and got shitcanned. Watched the parade after it, then elders park for free concert and fireworks. Then train home to watch the tennis.Comment

Spent the day removing insulation, stripping wet areas prepping for asbestos removal, finding live white ants in my wall, missing a dog on the main road by cm (thanks to the ABS).....
The one good thing was I picked up my camper trailer! But subsequently dropped later when I forgot to drop the jockey wheel and drove off....
