  • National 4X4 Show

I read that the National 4X4 Show is going to Brisbane 19-21 March and Melbourne 3-5 September. Has anyone been to the past ones and are they worth going to?
To late to plan to go to Brisbane, and a bit far, but am thinking of flying or boating to the Melbourne to have a look. So any pros or cons would be appreciated.

They're Ok but a bit "much of a muchness" if you go very year.
Can get some good deals if you go to haggle with something specific in mind ( accessories etc )

There's also the Wandin 4WD Show in Feb, ( officially called the Victorian 4WD show ) which is run by LROCV. It's held outdoors and I think has more character.
Most of the vendors also turn up there so bargains can still be had.
    Cheers, Wayne

We have nothing here in Tassie so was just seeing what was out there and to have a weekend away but if it is not worth it then might have to come up with something else then.

But you do have AGFEST

Have you driven the 4WD course there? It's a bit of fun - especially in a Rav4!!

              Re: National 4X4 Show

Yes we do have AGFEST down here but there is only limited 4X4 equipment displays and selections. It would be good to go to a show that is only for 4X4 equipment and accessories.

I have ridden/ driven/ walked the test track here numerous times as I used to be on the AGFEST committee. The track has had many face lifts over the years and it has only gotten better with time.

Still thinking of booking a ticket to go to Melbourne to at least visit the 4X4 show once.

                Re: National 4X4 Show

Fair enough. Yep Agfest is somewhat (very) limited. Especially if you're looking for good show specials. It seems TJA motors pretty much have a monopoly in some ways.
As yet I haven't been to a proper 4WD show and I live just a few Ks from the Wandin one so I hope to get there this year.
