Mate we run a class establishment  , their is myself and business partner and we have 6 senior supervisers that work and then a mixture of kids from 15 -20. We are open 6am-9pm 7 days a week so you do rely on other people a lot as you could not cover those hours.
I actually only work about 45 hours a week on average which is about 15 hours less than i use too and no weekends!!!!.

Back to the topic Mr Snaga

I've always been happy with the shows as a bit of entertainment and a chance to see what's current.

I must say though that most of the times there are very few show discounts to make it worth while.

eg. Last year (or was it the year before :?)
The Oz tent RV5 was $1100 down to a show special price of $1000.00
... problem is, that was the shelf price for that model at one of the camping stores anyway.

Air compressor from ARB... discount was the same as the entry for the show.

So, I reckon you'd need to have specific stuff in mind and do a bit of phone haggling with the company's and ask if they can do you a deal now or should you wait for one of the shows.

Will post some feedback on the show when it happens though.
                Cheers, Leon

I expect to be there too. Not sure what day... though I like the idea of Friday to avoid the weekend crowds.

Last year at the show, I was impressed by the Foxwing. A mate bought one and showed it off to me and now it has me thinking it will come in handy this Easter... not to mention for the GTG. I've tried a couple of other options, but they didn't quite cut the mustard. I've gotta figure out how to mount the Foxwing on my Windcheetah rack, so that will give me a little project too.

I suggest any 150 owners or anyone interested in the 150 to head on down to the show this weekend.
TJM, ARB and Kaymar all had 150's kitted out to the hilt. They do look nice when fully kitted out 8)

All had bullbars... (TJM's was fitted yesterday for the show today  )
                    TJM had a snorkel.

... but all looked pretty darn good.
                    Cheers, Leon

Did the show on Fri...Ok i guess... good to see 150 gear especially the Kaymar 150,, but really it was a boat show...geees... never seen so many BOATS! I think this show was the boating and fishing show with some 4x4 tacked on. I guess half the exhibitors were at the Gold Coast Caravan,Camping, Fishing,4Wd Show on the same weeknd!

Obviously its all about show promotors tryng to entice exhibitors to their event.... no wonder theres very few show specials with exhibitors trying to decide on one or the other, or cover two shows on the one weekend within 120km of each other...! The idea is to get the punter to part with his $12 . So if you combine every possible show type, then you get more punters with $12.

I eagerly await the next International Motor Caravan RV Outdoor Trailer Camping 4x4 Boating Fishing Sporting Truck Machinery Craft Home Holiday Bridal Food Furniture Expo..... should be great!

I stuck to the 4WD section... and I was quite pleased. I saved about $200 on a Foxwing + related bits, saved $50 on a Waeco cooler, saved $6 on an ARB inflator with gauge, saved a few dollars on Hema maps. When my wife goes shopping, all I hear about is how much she saved... though she was less interested in that when I told her how much I saved!

Also bumped into Hutch and met up with Stewy & Renee for lunch.

I was there for just a few hours with my Brother. All in all, a good day out for me.

                          Cheers,
                          LFaR.

We headed in on Saturday afternoon, and got a good deal on an Ironman Compressor. We also got some good ideas for the suspension...now to find the $$$...Didn't see any PPer's there, nor their Prado's!
