Re: Whats On For Easter
I had the memorable experience a few years ago when I had my Frontera, driving through swarms on my way back to Gilgandra to see my parents.
The engine temp became quite hot as the locusts were building up in the gap between the radiator and the air con condenser.
It took ages to get them all out once I got back home and the smell hung around for weeks. Toasted grasshoppers... Yum
I also rode through a swarm many years ago on my motorbike, on my way to Lake Cargelligo.
My visor became so thick with gunk that I rode with it up for as long as I could but the pain from the insects hitting my face became too much so I had to slow down to a crawl.
I reckon that I rode into the servo at West Wyalong looking like an extra off the Braveheart movie, all covered in yellow, brown and green
