    Re: Torch advice

Hi, just wondering what the battery life for those ay-ups would be, i am planning on climbing St Marys peak again next year up the outside track, but i plan to start at midnight so i can watch the sun rise from the top on my own. i would need 5 - 6 hours to be safe. i climbed it in 4 hours last time i think, but that was daylight.

    they certainly look impresive.

    Cheers Andrew

      Re: Torch advice

I have the lender p7 that I use everyday at work. Focusable two
      power settings. Gets coated in
grease, oil and ink. Has been dropped heaps of times plus it has
been through the wash twice, full cycle. When I forget to get it out
of my pants. Still it hasn't stopped. Plus i use rechargeable aaa batteries.
As it takes 4 it's great cause you need to recharge in multiples of
      2. So no odd batteries.

mjrandom - great shot there! really shows the differences quite well, so thanks for that.

ryzz - just had a look on the site, cheers. Had a quick look at the "Crocodile". 3400 lumens and $1300... that's a serious torch!!!

Looks like I've got a bit more investigating to do.

Not too keen on a headlight though, just doesn't suit my needs.
