      Every time I need to get a trailer load of dirt/rocks up my block. Otherwise probably only coupla times a year offroad. I think when 2wd Territory's came out it pretty much summed up what "urban 4by's" really get used for.....

        According to VW the new, soon to be released in Oz, Toureg won't have optional low range. What it will have is an 8 speed DSG gearbox! As long as the bottom gear is the same ratio as low 1st sounds ideal. Sadly the towbar load rating has dropped to 135kg.

          We use low range a fair bit cause there is a lot of soft sand out here in the river beds. Last weekend we were using it heaps but still got two vehicles stuck in quick sand, one was a Troopy the other a modified 80 series. It was modified into a 6 wheeler. :shock: :lol:
