I don't quite know how to put this Bushie, but have you looked out of the windows lately?

I feel your pain though, I have the same problem some days, usually a couple of months goes by though until most folks have forgotten the incident and then suddenly that senior executive has a brand new idea and my issue gets acted upon.

OK guys- I think someone needs a holiday
Sometimes things out of your control change your life for the better
It may be a rocky road but having great family, good friends and a Prado helps smooth things out
I use to be in the world in high finance but I will tell you the story oneday :?:

I work for Mr Rudd - Defence Force

And when I get sick of my boss, I just ask to get posted to another location. A change is as good as a holiday.

I get to live all over Oz and also get out and see the world.

After seeing that, I need to get a new job.

I'm currently trying to manage a program of works for a complicated project that has the involvement of three divisions of a major government department, heavy involvement of a second government department, minor involvement of 4 other government departments, and 5 sets of external vendor consortiums all of whom believe that it is someone elses responsibility to deliver anything.

The callous on my forehead is getting thicker

Previous jobs have included tyre fitter, aircraft engineer assistant, fishing tackle sales / service / rod building, typewriter (remember them?) salesman and employment consultant.

I now work for the Australian government, Regional Manager in the Central Qld office of a large government department (no, not Centrelink). I often wish for the pragmatism & self determination of private enterprise in the face of frustratingly dense bureaucracy....but I also actually get a kick out of working with a bunch of very professional people who take "public service" very seriously.

Hi all well This week has been a good one for us I just landed in job In WA at the Telfer mine site. I've been trying to get into the mines for the past 12 months with no luck, until I meet someone who gave me a few contacts and all of a sudden a position becomes available . I applied for a day chef position thru an agency, and next thing I know the head chef/ catering manager rings me up and say's you are too qualified for this position how about a more managerial position. Finally real money, Anyway WA hear we come.
