I am a Shotfirer in the north of W.A Just ordered a GXL D4D auto with the option pack and all the normal extras, B/bar, snorkel, spare rims etc etc. Have been a Land Rover bloke but got sick of no service, spares etc in the bush. Popping down to Cue tomorrow to pick up a Minelab detector in prep for some adventures with the new bus (end of June delivery). Drove everything before deciding the Prado was the best compromise for daily driver, off road and long distance touring (long way from everywhere). Looking forward to finding some nuggets and bowling over a few ferals up here!

G'day fellas, I'm a Vessel Traffic Service Operator (VTSO) for Marine Safety QLD. Basicly like an air traffic controller but for commercial shipping into the Port of Brisbane. Been doing it for five years and it's a big change from a Bobcat and Excavator driver.
Got a wife three kids and all have a love of the great outdoors.
I grew up as a passanger in Landrovers, my first was a MQ shorty and now have a 2.8D Hilux and a 2004 VX.
Cheers

Another one in the IT crowd.
I'm a (Software) Development Supervisor for a nation wide transport company. We have 11 Programmers (and growing) in our team and most of our software is developed and maintained in-house.
One of our cooler projects has been to develop a custom GPS navigation and tracking system. Working on these types of projects helps with the main task of coming up with new ideas for the Prado - a real case of working to live.
One of the reasons I went for a Prado was that my boss had been on to me for a while to go on some 4wd trips with him. He drives like a madman so I thought it would be safer to be in a car of my own. When I expressed these sentiments to him he hinted that with my next pay rise I would be able to do just that.
A Prado was always a pipe dream so I was lowering my sights to something like a Pathfinder or Hilux (nothing wrong with 'luxes as such but I'm not into utes). To my great surprise when I did the sums the Prado was back on the cards. The D4D and fleet pricing clinched the deal.
