Mine came during a stint as captain of our local volly bushfire brigade. We were following a grader performing a wheel roll (removing the scrub but not disturbing the earth) thru UXO country, during a fire. The grader drove up a small limestone outcrop but the Light Tanker caught its bottom edge on the rocks and the bull bar "fell Off". The crew now call me Capt Crash. Seriously my nickname doesn't need much explaining. Whilst not really grumpy I had a melt down with trying to get the internet connected and when TPG suggested I join whirlpool to solve their problems, it's the name that fit at the time Just kept it.

I am on a fishing website as Yowie, so I thought I would use the same name on this site.
I started fishing about 4 years old (now heading towards 60!) at the Yowie Bay wharf in southern Sydney, also lived at Yowie Bay for some years, so thought the name would suit.
