The only thing I don't like about mine is the fact that it has a propensity to suck vast sums of money from my wallet - all in the name of safety for the family of course!

the height of the front crossmember..
my old 4runner was independant front end, and im starting to think i would have prefered torsion bar setup to the dual wishbone.. sure it soaks up the bumps better..
i am really hoping a lift fixes this..
also the 65 profile tyres.. Im paraniod about voiding the insurance, but i want max clearance without going over a 2" suspension lift.
the little clips along the roof (where you would bolt on a roof rack) rattle.. drives me nuts.. had to pack them up with foam.
edit: and i like the cruise control.. its got attitude.2004 GXL V6 5 speed auto. Cooper STTs, 40mm Lift, Scanguage II, Flyer batterybox, GME3400 UHF, Engel 40L, Safari Snorkel, IPF Xeon Headlight upgrade, Milford Cargo Barrier.

I don't like the grinding noise from the rear diff - when I drive over the top of a Hyundai Excel and it jams up under there. It doesn't last long as they generally grind away pretty quickly.
I've now had my Prado for 60 days and there's a lot to like ... and bugger all to dislike.
1. It packs the whole family in with a minimum of whinging.
2. It goes more places - more out of the way places.
3. It tows stuff easily.
4. It carrys a heap of gear.
5. It's sleek and subtle, with strong lines - a bit like me.
6. It doesn't use any more fuel than the Commodore
7. I don't fuss about the rear aircon - the kid's have got windows.
8. It's the big kids mechano set I never had as a kid.
I may wind up finding stuff to dislike later - but for now it's all good.
Cheers

My biggest dislike is the IFS, nothing flexes like a full solid axel, there would be less need for a locker if the front wheels didnt keep leaving the ground.
Also, I wish someone made a rear bar for the 90 series, still trying to justify the cost of a custom one.Glenn

another vote against the aggressive CC. I usually 'suspend' it (pull CC lever towards you) when approaching a hill.
Surprised no one has mentioned the clock (GXL)... who invented the controls on that that!
Don't like how the drivers window controls (doesn't affect the drivers window I think) get turned off when you try to stop the kids playing with theirs. It should deactivate their controls and leave mine alone. I do like that all windows have auto up and down for the driver.
After installing the UHF... they should provide provision for them, power and somewhere for the unit.
65 series tyres... at least include 265/70/17's on the tyre placard
Seats (in GXL) should have lumber adjustment!
My outside ambient temperature is 1 degree to high
Location of bonnet and fuel release... I can never remember which ones which!
That's about it for now... are still happy with it though!

I believe thier gear may be sold over east under the "strongarm" brand name by other 4WD accessory places.Ex 95 and 79 series owner, now FJ Cruiser owner.

that and it chews my front tires!
Most of these places dont have a bent clue how to get it perfect.! So I suggest finding a specialist wheel alignment place, and if it's not right take it back till they do get it right.!03 Grande V6 4.0L, ARB Deluxe winch bar, XD 9000 Warn winch, Pacemaker Headers, Colour Coded Safari Snorkel, K&N Airfilter, Slotted RDA rotors, 55W HID Hella Rallye 4000 spotlights, Dual batt, TJM comp, TJM underbelly bashplate and custom stainless front bashplates, Extended diff breathers, Reverse camera (Eclipse), Yokohama AT-S, ICON 2.5 adjustable remote resi coilovers(front) ICON 2.5 piggyback shocks(rear), 2" lift airbags, Icom ic400pro, Engel 40L, Custom drawer system, Stainless recovery points, Kimberley MyCube rooftop camper.
