  • Postimage has changed for your photos!

    Hi.

    If you have a previous picture posted on postimg, it will not be seen because Postimg has some internet problem. The change has happened in the last week.

    The original images are still on the site, but you need to alter the description, like this:

    Edit your post at Pradopoint to change it from postimg.org/xxx to postimg.cc/xxx and your images will be visible again.

    One of our images original and invisible:
    -------
    -->
    -------

    Nothing!

    And here it is the same image changed to postimg.cc:

    Another photo hosting website committing internet suicide by the looks.. You can also use the pradopoint server to host your images, meaning no linking issues ever when there other places shut down or lock down their service to become a paid service.

      So as an example, 95% of the photos on my Rig Build are no longer visible. I have tried to edit each post and cant even see the link to the image to amend... This has really screwed things up! Nice work Postimage!

              When you edit the post, you cannot see the image, but there is a 'broken' small plain image. Double click that plain image and you can edit the postimage url correct.

              Edited one of your posts and altered the url. Works: https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/...-grande/page21

                  I'm a fairly new member and am curious why people are being advised to use Postimage. It's been 9 years and my images from Flickr are still being served. Had to sign-up again as the original email account to sign in has now gone. It's been a while but I'll try a test image. Let's see what happens when I use the supplied BB code for the smaller-sized selected image -

                  Had to crop some identifying text from the URL but, how's that, eh? One terabyte of picture hosting for free! The picture should be clickable to the full sized version. Will see what happens when I post this ....

                  Edit : it's clickable.
                  Edit 2 : now it's not clickable after I did edit number one. I'll embed the BB code again (for different sized image) to see what happens ....

                    There will be people asking what the f is BB code? Don't worry about it. It's an option you select when you chose to share a picture via Flickr. After selecting to use BB code, you chose which clickable picture size you want people to see on your Pradopoint post. Copy the BB code link & paste it into your Pradopoint post. Pretty easy.

                    Cropping the code for privacy or tidiness is easy. Just keep the first part of the BB link beginning with [URL and ending with [/URL]

                      The clickability being stripped after editing has got me stumped. I'm going to try that again. He's a pic -

                      Edit : and here's an edit.

                      Edit 2 : and the clickability is stripped. I've copied the source code of the pic in the post -

                      PHP Code:
                      [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1853\/44799409412_430ac92ba0_t.jpg"}[/IMG2

                      .. as compared to the original code I pasted -

                      PHP Code:
                      [url=https://flic.kr/p/2bfLFCy][img]https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1853/44799409412_430ac92ba0_t.jpg[/img][/url]
                      It looks like the https://flic.kr/p/2bfLFCy gets cut off (?)

                      Edit : I've highlighted the image during editing and selected the hyperlink option in advanced editing ... and used https://flic.kr/p/2bfLFCy as the embedded link. That didn't fix it.

                        I'm giving up for now. It's either a vBulletin thing or a Flickr thing.

                          Any ideas .
                          On the matter of photos the full link from Photoimage shows as

                          In preview of above the photo appeared and a copy of link location shows as
                          https://i.postimg.cc/5YMW1Qj3/Solar_on_roof_bars.jpg

                          How would one change this all to fit the "link" URL or is it broken
                          Thanks

                            Hi, Pedro.

                            I'm not a member of the Postimage site. As well as providing URL's to different sized images, does it provide BB code? BB code linking to images can be pasted directly into a post plus if you know a few BB codes it can help a lot with formatting a post - https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode

                            Some codes don't work here, currently, by the looks.

                            Fixing broken links can be attempted by using the 'Source' button in the advanced editor (last on the left).

                            Note that HTML looks to me to be disabled on this vBulletin site which is considered a security risk.

                            The 'Link' button on the Advanced Editor is used to embed a URL over selected text - like this.... whereas, if you want to have a picture from another site to be shown in a post you'd choose the 'Image' box and then insert the URL in the pop-up box. The 'Image' pop-up box can also be used to upload images to the site, directly, but there would be size limitations.

                              Let's try this method -

                              Using two BB codes [url] & [img] the picture is clickable and remains clickable after editing -

                              [url=https://i.postimg.cc/5YMW1Qj3/Solar_on_roof_bars.jpg] [img]https://i.postimg.cc/5YMW1Qj3/Solar_on_roof_bars.jpg[/img] [/url]

                              Using just [img] code gets the picture in the post only -

                              [img]https://i.postimg.cc/5YMW1Qj3/Solar_on_roof_bars.jpg[/img]
