  • VIC: Day Trip - Easy/Med

    Hi Fellow Victorians,

I've noticed that there aren't many events scheduled in Victoria, and would love to meet some fellow PP's.

Anyone out there interested in doing a day out 4wding? Leaving it very open ended here but if anyone is keen to go 4wding and meeting some new people let me know and we can tee something up... I was thinking either king-lake region or somewhere around Licola way (haven't checked any track conditions yet).

    Let me know & cheers,
    Loz

    Gday Lorenzo,

Good stuff teeing off a trip!...I would be keen as mustard for a Sunday day trip up to Kinglake/Toolangi area. There has been recent track openings after the fires which is good for us too.

Hopefully you can get a few on board for a good day out!

    Cheers AB

      Hey Lorenzo,

Depending on what dates you have in mind I'm up for a day trip around the Toolangi area as well. Some good tracks up that way.

      Cheers.

I just spent the last weekend around Licola and it was good, but most of the tracks are now closed for the winter.

Same'll probably apply up Toolangi way with track closures now. And good luck finding any "easy / medium" tracks in Toolangi this time of year. Still if you organise something that a Prado with no lift and All Terrains could do, let me know.

I went to Mt Disappointment on Queens Birthday with one stock Colardo and 2 Rodeos, they had no trouble getting around and we had a great time up there and all the tracks were open which was good. Phone trck is what we went on and it was great with a couple of creek crossings and great scenery. You would be able to get through there no worries with AT's and no lift.

As you were not planning a full on trip, Toolangi should be fine for you even with the track closures.

Please see parkweb link below for all the track closures, there will be plenty open for your type of trip.

              Enjoy your day.
