Depending on where, I reckon I could be up for it.

As long as we have our car, I'd love to join in a local trip.
I have the 4wd day trips near Melbourne book and there are a dozen trips to pick from including Toolangi and Kinglake.

Aug 21 is certainly possible for me.
Not sure how the melb weather is gonna hold up but I'm always keen to get muddy.
Also will need to check out seasonal track closures being that time of year.

I have read that neerim east stays open all year round, but muddies would be a must and have a few vehicles with winch's.

We did a recent trip to Tallarook in the Xtrail(highway tyres) and plan to give the new Prado a run there this Sunday.
Most tracks are open and there are plenty of hard rocky steep as well as easier tracks(which we stuck too)
I liked it because there were no deep bog holes, although very muddy in places the base was always firm and no deep surprises unlike Toolangi.

I'm not sure how many have full on mud tyres, ours I think only has All Terrains.

Never been to Tallarook. It sounds like it could be more in line with the "easy/med" part of the original post title.

Just wanting to bump this one as it is only another week away.
Are we still on for the 21st ?

If we are still working out where to go, I can scan and post the 4wd trips near Melbourne Tallarook track notes if that helps.
They could be a starting point.

I've tried to contact Lorenzo on this trip, but no reply.
We are going to head up Tallarook Sunday and try the easy trails we didn't finish last month in the X-trail.
(After our Mt Dissa trip we are keen to get back out)

We are in a stock 120 with A/T's so we are not going to try Rocky Track or any of the tough rock runs.
But if others want to try then more than happy to take photo's :-)
The notes I have are pretty detailed and have alternates for most parts.

I'm happy for others to come along.
Let me know if your keen.
