        Boys

So annoyed I missed the trip, its amazing how easy the holes look and that they seem to have no bottom to them!!

Anthony the SEQ folk tend to have some sort of day out each month and next year we are looking at some weekends with touring to and from and some park based weekends, Just keep your eye on the trip planning as some times these aren't decided until early in the week before the weekend.

All are welcome and I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself, to all the SEQ folks keep your eyes on the site.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

Sorry to hear about your injury Richo! It was an fun and educational morning (1st time using the winch recovering Brad out after Gordo had issues with the electricals on his winch) And as predicted, the road tyres on the Prado offered no assistance whatsosever... All in a a brief (klms wise), but fun day!

I might have to revisit the tyre selection for these trails.
I reckon all the rubber you can muster will be your best bet for future visits if its wet.
On the dry sections the trails are mainly sandy.
As seen in the pics there were still boggy sections and water lying around even though we've had quite dry weather.
One can only imagine what we would find after a few days of rain?

Apparently the Western Side of the Hwy is more picturesque but the tracks are even gnarlier (comp truck trails).
Anyhow, even though I stayed away from the bog holes the car still requires further cleaning after visiting this area.

                cheers

                      Hi avj

Keep your eyes out for trips we do plenty that suit standard Prados, particularly the Mt Mee ones and you will get a good idea of what you can achieve in a standard car.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

Hey Stewy, From what I've seen here it should be enough to make you think twice before going down the Hilux route. They need winching not just MaxTrax! Keep the faith and the Prado. Look forward to catching up with all you guys again soon in readiness for the SAGTG.

I know what ya saying, I've had both now. The low lux did have a better departure angle than the 120 as standard.
I just really miss the cargo space that the hilux gave. Although the 120 has been awesome and it still suprises me on each trip out. To be honest nothing on the market really grabs me at the moment.

                              cheers
