  • NSW: Sunday 11th of March Zig Zag Railway & Newnes SF Area

We're going to Newnes to explore some easy/medium tracks. There won't be anything crazy as I'm still trying to get to grips with huge size of the 80 series but I might go looking for some semi-challenging tracks but they'll be optional.

Please read the following disclaimer if you wish to participate on this trip. If you choose not to accept the terms & conditions therein, you are requested not to attend.
    http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...claimer-Notice

    Track Difficulty:
The tracks we'll be doing are pretty easy for a new driver. There's often a bit of mud and dust at Newnes so there's normally a bit cleaning to do afterwards. There is optional moderate/hardcore stuff too for those that want it. Stock 90's and 150's are fine but 120's are a bit low in stock form, so expect scraping if you're bringing a 120 without a lift.

    Weather:
The forecast is looking pretty good at the moment, with some light rain expected for Lithgow.

Meeting at: McDonalds at Richmond, cnr of March & Eastmarket Sts. at 8:00am, departing around 8:15 am http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&bi ... CBoQnwIwAA

Finishing time is flexible; if you want to leave early it won't be a problem (but you may need to navigate your own way out). We usually finish around 4 or 5pm.

Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, water/drinks, camera, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure.

    UHF channel 28

Despite the heavy rain we've had in Sydney these last few days, the weather forecast for Lithgow has actually improved since starting this thread.

It's now looking partly cloudy with a chance of <1mm of rain. Temps are looking chilly ranging from 6°C to 21°C

Sounds good. The weather forecast seems to be getting even better for Sunday.

You will find that there is a probability the Windsor and Richmond bridges will be close later today, due to a combination of river flooding and the king tide expected today[tidal influences effect the river up to Windsor ].Windsor will go 1st before Richmond which is in a different order to the usually pattern of the other way round.
With the trip planned for Sunday i would expect it should be reopened by then, but it may pay to check closer to departure.

Being down at Rouse Hill today for work and also a concert tonight in Homebush i maybe doing the lap of the mountains tonight to get home
New 2015 150s GX 5 seater with floor mats, towbar and a big wish list
Previously a 2004 120s 1KZ GX silver manual with stuff
before that a 1996 RV6 90S with lots of gear
