            I'm in.

However, if the gate to Richmond is closed, could anybody tell me how to get to McDonald point with another way? A detail could be very helpful.

I am in Croydon Park 2133 and will use Tomtom to go there normally (last time I came there via Richmond bridge but have no idea about another route)

Richmond bridge is still open, but being "closely monitored".

Given the weather situation I very much doubt it'll be closed - it'd require Warragamba to dump a big load, and I'm sure they'd get smacked if they cause a closure in this good weather. Devising a backup meeting location wouldn't hurt though.

Not going to make it tomorrow, mum needs some work done around her place. Weather loks to be good for you.

Both bridges are open and won't close, don't believe what you read. If they didn't close them yesterday they definately wont close them today or tomorrow. The water is about 1-1.5m lower than late yesterday (around 5:30 when I went over after finishing work) so they will stay open.

Have a good time, Wishing I was coming out.

                  Ben

A little over budget but ended up going with the Geolanders MT+ in 285/75R/16 (33s)
                        Keen to test them out.

I also convince the Mrs to come along and have a go at driving.
She'll probably go better that what I do.

Well I'm gonna jump in here with a report of my day before everyone else does!

I met up with the gang at Macca's but then proceeded to Lidsdale with some family, to take them through the ropes with their new 4x4. We only covered some easy steep tracks but quickly found their personal limits (not the car's limit).

It was so exciting for me, I managed to catch some wildlife for a change:

We stopped for lunch at the Cox's River, which was quite high due to the rain. I took them across in my car and up to Mt Walker to give them a good scare. There we found a GU Patrol stuck halfway up, and a Pajero owner who didn't think much of Prado's, that is until I crawled straight up the hill, past the Patrol, and on to the top without a fuss. The Pajero owner had a go, infact many go's with lots of spinning, but failed.

Also; The upper section of Mt Walker has been washed out a fair bit with the recent rain, which has made all the rock steps bigger.

I then made my way to Newnes to catch up with this lot:

I noticed some tracks at Newnes have changed considerably with the recent weather - tracks which used to be easy are now hard, and hard ones are almost impassible.

Over to the gang for their report!!

                                Thanks Glen,
Was a great day but had to cut it short as the kids grow restless.
Here some of what you missed out on.
