Tell me it's not true Craig! That used to be a real fun little rock climb. Did they fill it in or just run a dozer all the rocks away up there. We need some good rain up there to bring back the ruts then.

Tha entire section from where that incline commences is now just a dirt road. No Rocks at all! So yes, they have filled it all in with dirt along with all those bog holes. They too have been filled in and levelled of so no fun there either!!! I guess that's one way of stopping the 4wders going in and having fun... Rather than gating it just make it a road! You may as well skip that section altogether and start at Cliff Barrons Rd,

Ormeau Out of Bounds....

I have been in touch with a Security representative that patrols the area up at Ormeau and enquired about access to the attached track with the following response...

"That track is on the private property and has a regeneration project supported by the EPA and 2 CCTV cameras with all recordings going to the EPA for prosecution. (deliberate degeneration) and other chargers depending on what the 4x4 is doing. Sorry but that track is out"

My recommendation for all is that unless you're willing to risk prosecution, stay out.

It was fun while it lasted...

First of all Robert you'll be disappointed to know that the stony climb is now just a dirt track that a Prius could drive up!, but yes that's the way we went however the track in discussion is before you get to the Lookout track as pictured

Thats dissapointing it was a good little rocky hill climb to negotiate.

So does anyone know other areas reasonably close to Ormeau that can still be accessed that offer some reasonable 4wding and views, creek crossings etc.
