Great trip report, I love it! Interesting you decided to spend two nights at Palm Ck. That would've been a great spot so you could watch everyone do the entry I like the photos of everyone standing around the entrance too. Great shots those. I can't wait to find out how your trip went. I originally wanted to go in September, but our trip was brought forward by a month due to work commitments of someone in our group.

Keep up the good work, bud. I'm enjoying this.

So yes I was geeing the wife up to let me take the prado thru but mate did I get told the time!!! Seeings how this was her first big 4x4 trip away I agreed with her that we would bypass palm creek and take the trailer around it...

What I did do though after quite a few beers was reverse the Prado down the Palm creek entrance and launch out a few time for a bit of fun and also to get a good pic of the Prado with some wheelstand action... I liked it alot!

So after our fun was had at Palm Creek we took off back to Bramwell to enquire about the track that bypasses Palm Creek... Yep and the missus was pretty happy about that!

So heading North 28kms from Bramwell Jct on the PDR we turned left... this was the Palm Creek bypass...

It was great to get back onto the OTT and start making some tracks again!!!

The first creek we came to was North Alice... It was a dry creek with a little drop in...

I let the trailer drop a bit too quick and it caught a rock on the wheel well... A North Alice souvineir I guess you could say!

Cruising on and next from there was Bertie Creek... As you can see there was really sweet bugger all water in the creeks at this time of year...

The drive from Bertie Creek to Gunshot seemed to take forever... The anticipation and nerves were on boiling point!!!
We didnt know what to expect or if we would get thru with the campers but we knew we could turn around and take the Gunshot Bypass if we had too...

The first view of Gunshot... Bloody warzone...

We went for a walk to suss the area to see if we could get thru...

The original Gunshot... Um no we wouldnt give that a go...

And this is the chicken track which was on the far left...

We took some time to soak up the spot, have a wash in the crystal clear water and have a cold beer... out of skins fridge in case you were wondering...

                              Time to get moving!
