Well what an adventure the last trip to CityView was, honestly I didn't know it would hail, have massive thunderstorms and be a quagmire! As we only managed to do part of one side of the park last time, I propose a trip back to do the other side and some of the tracks we missed.
The park is only about 1hour 15minutes from Brisbane CBD and has a mix of all different types of tracks. http://www.cityview4wd.com/index.html
Date: Sunday 10th of Feburary ( changed to suit more people)
UHF: Channel 16
Time: Leave Brisbane at 7.30ish. For arrival about 8.45-9.00. Suggest we meet there as per last time.
Location: CityView 4wd Park
Swan Gully Road, Bromelton QLD 4285
Take 3rd exit off round about & follow the red arrows.
http://www.cityview4wd.com/contact-us.html
Ph :0438 0438 71 if lost
Cost: The park charges $35 (per vehicle) for the day to use their park. Take cash as they don’t accept cards
Weather: I spoke to Steve the owner yesterday and there are no major events and the park looks good. If the weather dramatically changes we will re-assess. (Yeah like that worked last time.... )
Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Swan+G...ralia&t=m&z=10
Details: The plan is to spend the morning exploring their tracks, then a nice relaxed lunch (BYO food, drink and water). Then an afternoon back on the tracks. The tracks have everything from mild to extreme, so there is something for everybody there. It WILL be easier this time in the dry as well. Otherwrise just like the last trip we did there.
I imagine we would finish up around 5.00pm or so and be back in Brisbane around 6.00pm
Of course, the usual trip disclaimer applies:
