Chores... you mean when you're finished flicking the new rocker switches in your car a few times...

There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!

Yes Ok, you caught me, I've been sitting in the garage flicking the switches and listening to those sweet sounds (what concerns me Robert is I can imagine you having to go downstairs to the Prado and switch the switches to replicate the sounds for your post!)

Anyhow, here are some pics from the weekend. Didn't take any action shots as I was too busy trying to stay on the tracks!

          "Was" Clean...

Drinks around the fire after a fun day

Sunday morning we thawed out from what was a very cool night and packed up camp before heading off to explore the other side of the Park.
          LFaR leading the way...

And LFaR re-entering the creek to flush out some mud that had accumulated in his calipers causing a very annoying squeal.

We made our way up to the top of the range to take in the views. We were very grateful that the tracks had dried out otherwise the steep ascents/descents wouldn't have been possible.
            Looking down into Goomburra Valley.

And on the other side of the range looking across to Maryvale and the Cunningham Highway

Time to head back down and head home

Matt (LFar) and I decided to take the scenic route home and travel back via Condamine Gorge and it's 14 creek crossings (a good excuse to give the Prado's an underbody wash... But first we stopped at the Killarney Pub for a cleansing ale. We were lucky that we hit the Gorge late in the afternoon as the Gorge was shut to all motor vehicles due to the annual Waddle and Saddle event that is open for all on Foot, Cycle or Horseback. The first 2/3 of the track was in fairly good condition as it had been recently graded. The last 1/3 was a little more fun with some more slippery stuff and quite bumpy. The crossings were probably the lowest I had seen it but there was plenty of evidence of the floods earlier this year.

              A couple of the crossings...

              Nearly through the 14...

From here it was a matter of heading back down the range and back through Boonah. However, When we got to the lookout of the Waterfall that is at the top of the Range, the road was closed and "heavily" barricaded. Most likely due to washouts from the floods again... So we had to detour via The Head Gate Rd and White Swamp rd. It was getting late and on Dusk it made for a truly spectacular drive. We got to Boonah just after Cafe17 had closed (damn it) so we said our farewells and headed for home.

Thanks guys for a great weekend (albeit bloody cold!!!) Cant wait to get back out there again to put the switches to the test!
