What a shame... No Creek crossing drills across the Noosa River... Have a great time folks. I'll be up Nth.

There are a heap of pretty good forest trails (nothing to hard but a nice drive) to the left side of Cooloola Way that bring you out a few km futher down the highway, turn right and head towards Freshwater/Rainbow Beach.

Instead of turning right off the main dirt road to head towards Cooloola Way/Harry Hut you keep going straight ahead and turn in right (to the forest trails) further down the road. The trails are pretty well marked on the base map that comes with memory-map and I assume any other Australia/local base maps.

            Hi Rob

Count me in as well. Looking forward to it. It will be nice as you said to catch up with some regulars and some new people which we haven't met. I am bringing my 2 boys as well. See you Sun.

With all this rain, the tracks should be pretty easy. Last time I went up freshwater track after a week of rain you could have taken a lowered barina.

I don't think they have had any rain up the coast from what i have been reading. All those tracks r always fairly easy nothing to challenging.

Got stuff on Sunday arvo now so I won't meet you for lunch. I'll listen out on the radio though and say g'day if you get close enough to the beach to hear.

We are not sure if we are coming now. We will see what the weather is doing in the morning. It's forecast for rain and storms as you are aware. If it looks like it's clearing up I will see you at the BP at 7:30am.

                                Update.
Bad news is tomorrows weather is forccasting showers/rain and a good chance of a storm late in the day.
Does not look like a sunny day on the beach unfortunately
Good news is the trip is still on for the stoic few. Yes you will probably get wet, so bring your wet weather gear I suggest.
A cut lunch may be easier than a BBQ as well, as there is limited shelter at freshawater BBQ area.
But there are a good number of BBQs there if you want to use them.
                                Cheers
