Just let Zoe drive while you drink. At that hour of the morning on a Sunday there shouldn't be to much to worry about.

Well what a great day that was. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hopefully proved that mine isn't just a pavement Prado. Thanks for invite and it was great to put faces to names. Bob, Steve, Peter, Andrew and families were all great people and I hope to do it all again at some stage
              Cheers

                  Trip Report

Well what a day out for the Tasmanian Pradopoint crew.

Leaving Perth once everyone arrived it was a 40km drive on the bitumen to Myrtle Park. Once there we picked up the 6th and final member of our party. After a quick pit stop and play for the kids it was time to air down. From the carpark it was only 500m till we hit the gravel driving through forestry plantations.
Took a nice little track that led down into a valley and all went well till 50m from the end and there blocking the track was a huge branch out of a pine tree blocking our way. After much debate and thoughts it was decided to try a bypass route, so out with the chainsaw and shovel. Have to say it was not a bad effort by all involved to get around the blockage.

Further down the track it was time to stop for a bite to eat and while there a couple of vehicles tried a hill climb and looked impressive but then the show boating started with one of our party doing it in reverse.

So off down the track and onto the bitumen for a couple of minutes till the next track. Now this is where my first mistake happened. As I was trying to find the hard to see enterance to the track the lovely wives on the trip decide that we should go to the local vineyards, with all this talking I missed the turn so a quick u turn was needed. And so down a nice little track that could be interesting when wet.

Once again onto the bitumen, this time Bridportt Road, heading towards Bellingham. A quick detour was needed once there to get around some quite large bog holes. Onto the beach for a nice drive along the coast. Headed inland on the main track and the biggest sand dune was encountered. Let's just say that on this one 5 vehicles made it on there first go but it was all in fun.

We were running out of time so we pushed on till the dune that took us off the beqch for the last time. Some of us had to have a couple of goes to get up and over this one.

Once back on the gravel road it was time to air back up and say our good byes and some had roast meals to get to with a bit of a drive to get there.

All in all it was a great day and the company made it such.

(Pictures to follow as everyone gets them loaded up)

As it turns out, the "Bull Bar" cam, wasn't as good as I thought - mostly due to the harmonics between the aerial and camera.

Didn't have any video footage on the beach, but Zoe took some good photo's with my iPhone.

I'll attempt to clean up the footage, and see what we get.

I did feel bad, holding the group up - but top day otherwise! Thanks VKPrado for organising!

Mate don't ever feel bad, it's all part of the fun. At least you listened to instruction and made it without the need for recovery. I've been with others who aren't quite as accepting of driving tips and you're definitely not the first that I've seen get caught out on that dune.

I agree, don't feel bad. You weren't the only one to get stuck a couple of times today. We all get stuck at times - I was lucky today, but next time mightn't be as lucky. You made it everywhere we did and as Marcus said, it's all part of the fun.

I guess it was the frustration of it! But a top day! 700+ KM's put on the Prado.

                            Shopping list extending!

Though I must say CT-18, is the weapon - along with Sangrabba mats. Quick shake at carwash, and probably a good was tomorrow and all good.

Am impressed that my $9 sandflag was up to the challenge!
