I saw three Amaroks being recovered, maybe the lack of low range can't be made up by an 8 speed gearbox.

I wonder if this one at Moon Pt was one of them? Seems an 8 speed gearbox is no match for an incoming tide either.

Made a quick video up of the Indian head crossing

Dan, I know the dudes (one of them anyway) who were stuck towing the boat behind Indian Head. They went up a week after we got back and when he said they were taking a 6m boat behind Indian Head I asked how he thought that would go. Going up was easy (they had the two vehicles pulling the boat trailer).

On the way back they had a vehicle run through to check and give them the all clear so in they went. They were where you saw them when they hit 3 vehicles stuck blocking the whole track.

As soon as they had to stop the boat trailer sunk and they were stuck there for 3 hours! They had to get a tractor from Orchid Beach to tow them out.
