If the town planners were smart, they would have made sure if you were coming from Dickward Drive, you'd need to pass through Durack before entering Fannie Bay and Driver. A by-pass road would take you to Virginia, next to Hidden Valley and adjacent to Moulden. For those that cannot wait and are after the express-way, you would need to go to Fly Creek located just below Middle Point, there you'll head to Johnston and take Fred's Pass before reaching Tumbling Waters.

Only once you have gone through Humpty Doo mate.........

Sorry MLC I was looking at picking you up (for a ride) but my son has one of his friends staying with us until Sun night so I don't have that spare seat. Surely someone could offer MLC a ride? I'm sure he's low maintenance and very obedient.

So can we get an idea who is coming so I know who to wait for.

Bugger, I've got plans for Aussie day so won't be able to make it. But I was thinkin. Anyone interested in a Monday early fish and chip dinner down at east point (fannie Bay)? Would be good to catch up.

Okay so for those that are interested here is how today went.
First off big sorry to MLC for not being able to get you. SORRY!!!!!
The cruise out to the crash site was nice.
The track in was wet but hard so all good.

All lined up for a look at the crash site.


The trip out from the plane crash site.


Parked up for a quick look around Mandorah wharf.


Nice shady tree to have lunch under.

Then came the fun part 8608 took the lead to show us a little fun track he knew.

So 8608 did not make it very far before he got stuck and I had to rescue him!!! LOL.
No he cruised thru and I made about five meters from the first creek crossing before the Pirelli Scorpion's failed to drive through mud.
So 8608 thought he would snatch me out. Did not work ground to muddy.


Oh whilst the above is happening. Winniliss parked up on the other side of the creek enjoying the show.


So we then decided to get out the Maxtrax and christen them.


Then it was the fun of trying to back out of the creek. Thanks to Winston & Steve for the efforts. It was fun.


Then 8608 came rolling through without a care in the world.


And that was the end of our little trip. Drive home and hose all the crud off the Prado ready for a big wash tomorrow.

Thanks for the laughs SOL. Maxtrax are one investment that should be at the top of the list. Note we also aired the tyres down to 20PSI. All up I think we got out of the bog in less than 15mins. Most of that time was airing down the tyres and me laughing...
