          • WOW !!! What a great day ... and a great mob of blokes.

Met a few new faces .... got shitloads done ....

.... and I took a few pics

Leachy started the morning with attaching his modified steps

Fishnut's snorkel went in a treat

Parksy spent most of the day fitting up his new dual battery system ... Piranha battery tray, Trojan deep cycle battery and Redarc controller.

Begs bash plate got the full treatment. Why muck around with drill bits and a jigsaw when you can chuck the whole thing on a milling machine.

I had a new set of stainless steel rollers for the winch fairlead ... but they needed a little trim.

Mototrim had a fairly new TJM bashplate ... but didn't like how the bolt heads were exposed ..... easy fixed.

Then we all descended upon Chuck's new wagon ... like seagulls around a chip.

Huge thanks to Jeff ... who hosted the event and looked after everyone. Thanks Heaps. .... and Jeff didn't even have a Prado there ....

A great day ... and a great way to learn how to do a few mods to your rig .... in the safety of numbers

            Cheers
            Chippy

Have a look at the first 9 pics mate.

They're a set of ATS steps that needed a bit of remodelling.

                Cheers

                    • Its a bloody setup ... thats what it is.

I was built to work on standard height Prados ..... but some smartarse jacked this one up while I was working on it.

You can see the two bricks I was using ... but they still weren't tall enough for me to see what I needed to see.

                      Cheers

                              Some of us were.....

Sill protectors??? I think you are meaning the Sliders, the first 9 pics in Chippies post??? If so they are from ATS in Victoria somewhere. They do look good, A bit close to the body for my liking but clearance par excellence from the earth.. They give the car a more manly stance in my opinion. Im going to have some on my car soon. I'm getting mine from JRS.. (me).

                              Jeff
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
