NSW: Sunday March 13th : Ourimbah State Forest

We're heading up to Ourimbah State Forest for some 4x4 fun and exploring. Suspension lift is recommended, lockers an advantage.

Finishing time is flexible but if you'd like to leave earlier, the F3 Freeway is nearby.


Bring: GLOVES, Prado with recovery points, morning tea, lunch, water/drinks, camera, air compressor/recovery gear if you have it, sense of adventure.

My CB radio is missing a power cord and it's been orded and hopefully will come today, but there is a risk it won't show up. Do anyone planning to come have a handheld CB radio which I could borrow during the day? Or a power plug to a Uniden UH-077

As always, great to catch up with members of this forum. Only 4 Prado's for the day, (me, adrian5800, kristofer00 & dai) and we followed a few of the usual tracks and as it is very dry in Ourimbah, very little water to be found but what was there was rather aromatic .

There were a few sections of track that tested every vehicle and having driven this exact route a few weeks ago solo without issue, I managed to have my forward progress stopped twice. Just goes to show that being slightly off line the desired line makes a big difference. Only damage from the day was kristopher00's side step, nothing serious but it was their first day of a round OZ trip, so I did feel a little bit bad.

Thanks for being the guide for the day Dave. Really good to meet up with a few local members and drive some fun tracks. I'll see if Charlotte took any pictures worth posting up. We'll have to do some more exploring soon.

Sorry for the delay in posting, I started a new job recently and have been staying in sydney for training for the last few weeks. Thanks again to Dave for organising a great day out, good to meet new people and have a bit of fun. Rachel and Cam had an enjoyable day too.

Our club had a trip there the week before.
not sure which way they went in but took them nearly 2 hrs to get 9 vehicles 400 mtrs

Nice pictures! For some reason I can't choose to download the pictures and just saving the pictures just saves them in a small resolution.
The sidestep got a pretty big bang but I have seen that I can find new on gumtree for like 70$ so since both were already bent it's not that big of a deal so no need to feel bad
